The Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA), serving as the key agency for renewable energy initiatives, has successfully installed 1,50,000 Solar Street Lights across the state. These installations have been carried out under various schemes introduced by both the Central and State governments. Each street light in the state has been geo-tagged and assigned a unique identifier, allowing for precise identification and tracking of their locations. In line with its commitment to providing efficient services, UPNEDA aims to establish a system that fosters citizen engagement, facilitating the identification of faulty street lights for prompt corrective maintenance.
